Reader's Pick Sew Along - Vote for the Pattern!

Thank you to those who submitted ideas on patterns you would like to see in a sew-along! I have selected 6 patterns, most all your selection. If you did not give me a specific pattern, but an idea such as a blazer, I selected a pattern. I loved all of the independent pattern company selections you chose, but some of them already have sew-alongs for them either done by the designer or by others. I also decided to stick with patterns that are easy to find for most and ones that have not been used by too many others in a sew-along. 

 Now it is your chance to vote for the pattern you want to see in a sew-along. You will have until Friday, March 21st to select the pattern you would like to see in a sew-along.

    I say 6097 because I attempted it once and I screwed something up at the back waist (thank goodness it was a muslin)...would love to try it again with some of the gorgeous knits I have purchased from you all recently. :)

    I voted for #1 because I tried sewing pants with a pattern from the book Sew U a couple years ago, but I had problems with the fly and waistband.

    Such great choices ! My vote goes to New Look 6097 because a quick google search showed me that feedback was good, but most importantly it looks incredibly flattering on all people that sewed it. My second vote goes to the knit blazer!

Made By A Fabricista: Wrapped up in Denim

Denim is definitely one of my favorite fabrics to wear during the fall, more than any other season. I'm sharing my first denim project for Fall 2023 in this months Fabricista feature because let's be real, its one of the most iconic fabrics ever, its always in style and most everything can be made with denim. This denim is Fabric Marts Deep Prussian Blue 100% Cotton Denim, and it was the perfect fabric for this project. I really enjoyed working with this denim. It had a little more drape and body than most denims that are stiff and don't provide much give, but of course that's the good thing about denim, it comes in so many ranges which makes it clearly the best fabric for any project. I created a hack for my most recent Fall KnowMe pattern, ME2054. But not only did I hack this pattern, but I did a pattern mash with my Spring KnowMe pattern ME2020, creating this cool, chic denim jumpsuit.  Now, I've really gotten into creating jumpsuits more than ever.
