Happy Spring all! I cannot believe we are just a few days away from April! I have a great spring outfit to share with you in some of the most comfortable fabric ever! Let me start with the skirt! I love the linen fabric Fabric Mart carries...this is my third linen order from them (you can see my previous linen makes here and here ). But I've never tried any of their linen prints. Over the last couple months, I've noticed a few floral linens popping up on their website! This particular print is out of stock, but they do have a very similar one here .

Y'all know I love dresses and I wear them year round, but they are almost all I wear in the warmer months. So to kick off the spring season I have TWO new dresses to share. I used two types of double knits for this month's post.  I love double knits because they are sturdier than jerseys or ITYs and easier to sew for most.

Happy Saturday All, I just can't believe we are a few days away from Spring! 2019 is going by so fast and I am ready to create pieces that will transition into summer.  South Florida weather temperature is typically in the 70s and 80s but we have had a few cooler days last month.  I should not be complaining as some states are still experiencing cold temperatures during this time of year.  Even though most of the time we have sunshine, I wanted to create two cute tops made with ponte knit and cotton shirting that can be worn on cooler days this Spring.

McCall's vintage top 4028 in chambray voile Hey everybody, it's hard to believe that spring is just ten days away as we are in the midst of another snow storm here in Eastern Canada. Despite the bad weather I'm making some spring pieces and my theme for this month is: chambray!

I am getting tired of winter.  It's lingering.  It's cold.  I need spring.  I need new clothes.  Ok, done whining!   I needed some basic colored tops in some not so basic shapes.  These two fit the bill.   The ivory is a Linen/Cotton/Rayon blend.  Pictures don't do the fabric justice.  It has a lovely shine and drape.  If you've never checked out Fabric Mart's linen section, you need to!  The fabric is so pretty, is high quality, and never disappoints me.  

Twinning! My husband was appalled when he realized that I had made the two of us garments from the same fabric, and not for the first time.
